A short list of topics that inspired me to undertake this initiative include the need for:
1.  Election accuracy and transparency.
2.  Defending the Constitution and fortifying the constitutional rights of my fellow citizens.
3.  Defending Women’s rights to personal safety, privacy, and fair competition.
4.  Supporting our brave and loyal peacekeepers and emergency responders.
5.  Shifting the focus of our schools back to academics.
6.  Supporting local businesses and rebuilding our community.
7.  Battling state level abuse of power
8.  Promoting localized decision making and opposing centralization.
9.  Encouraging a personal choice driven consumer market.
10.  Shifting support towards veterans and citizens and away from illegal migrants.

I am confident that there are many more topics worthy of highlighting.  I look forward to listening to the variety of perspectives this campaign trail is sure to provide.  I pray that, together, we are able to repair Connecticut and bring our state forward to a bright and thriving future for the coming generations.

About Jason

"I want to shift Connecticut back to a place which supports family values, common sense legislation, transparency, and accountability of government. I will work to fortify the Constitutional Rights of We the People. I will weigh every proposal against our Constitution and vote in a manner which strengthens and protects the rights of the People of this beautiful state of Connecticut. I pray that people share this vision and these values. I ask for every legal citizen to vote on election day and participate in the process as though our future depends upon every one of us, as it absolutely does.”

–Jason Guidone

Born and raised in Connecticut, Jason and his wife arrived in Hebron in 2015, immediately falling in love with it's charm and neighborly feel. Jason’s outgoingness and good nature quickly turned many of those neighbors into new friends. During the years he spent as the owner-operator of an indoor golf facility, Jason learned about many of the pitfalls and challenges faced by employers in our state. The operation of that business made it easy for him to share his love of sports with the local community of Branford, and eventually turned into a career of over 20 years in video production support with ESPN, many of which were spent serving in a management capacity.

Sadly, Jason’s wife of 10 years passed away in 2018. The four years that followed left Jason seeking new meaning in his life as he tried to recover from his devastating loss, until finally he was blessed to find another love while volunteering together. Since then, Jason and Michele have worked together as a family to make a positive impact in the community and in the state overall, and at times even seeing their efforts reach the national stage.

Jason’s goal of making government and its processes simple to understand has always been backed up by his actions, as his participation in efforts to change the direction of legislation in Connecticut has taken many forms. Those protests, letters, testimony, phone calls, and zoom meetings were all steppingstones to becoming Chair of the Hebron Republican Town Committee.

Jason has since concluded that the most direct way to make the type of changes we need in Connecticut is to seek your support and your vote so he can represent you as your 19th District State Senator. His goal can be most simply explained as: to return Connecticut’s government to We the People!
